Program 3: Open to all 7 EQ Sport Committees

Submission of the application form indicates acceptance of the program terms and conditions outlined below.

The Equestrian Queensland Sport Development Funding program offers $10,000 in 2019  to Equestrian Queensland Sport Committees to support growth and development of officials. This funding program is open to all EQ sports committees.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for funding under this program your EQ Sport Committee must meet the following criteria:
·         be an Equestrian Queensland recognised EQ Sport Committee
·         use EA current and registered Officials or Equestrian Australia Nationally recognized qualified professionals to deliver courses/seminars;

APPLYING FOR SPORT DEVELOPMENT FUNDING

How do I apply
The following steps apply to all applications for funding:
1.       ensure your Sport Committee and proposed clinic or workshop meets the eligibility criteria outlined above
2.      ensure all presenters hold a current EA Official qualification and are qualified to deliver the course/seminar content
3.      complete the online application form, answering the following:
         ·         provide a written statement outlining how this funding will benefit your organisations growth and development of the sport
         ·         Indicate expected participation numbers of EQ members and restricted participants
         ·         Complete the application form and supply the requested supporting documentation as listed
How much funding can my sports committee receive?
Funding is limited to a maximum of $750 per application. Applicants are eligible for funding more than once, however, all applications are based on merit.
Please note: under this program, stationary, gifts, alcohol and telephone calls are NOT covered and as such will not be reimbursed as part of this funding program.

Important dates
This funding is open to activities conducted from 1 January to 1 December 2019. Activities conducted outside these dates will NOT eligible for funding.

All follow-up paperwork and invoices are required to be submitted to EQ by 1 December 2019, failure to do so will result in any monies being forfeit.

How is my application assessed?
All Sports Committees will be notified in writing as to their application success or otherwise.
Equestrian Queensland reserves the right to determine priorities for the allocation of funding. The following will be taken into account:
·         The development and growth opportunities available to Officials;
·         The quality of the information provided (and the qualification of the presenters)
·         The total funds available in the program

What is required from my Sport Committee?
If your application for funding is approved, you are eligible to receive 100% of the approved amount after the date of the ‘activity’ upon the receipt of;
·                an invoice made to Equestrian Queensland
·                completed Attendees list (listing participants full names and EQ membership status)
·                copy of flyer or screen shot of social media post the acknowledging Equestrian Queensland for the endorsement and funding of the ‘activity’
·                final Budget (outlining the participants and the Sports Committees financial contribution)
Acknowledgement
EQ will provide an advertisement for inclusion in the club newsletter, website and social media.

All material such as flyers, posters, social media posts promoting the clinic or workshop is required to include the following acknowledgement:

“This clinic (workshop) is partially funded through the Equestrian Queensland Sport Development Program for 2019.”

Other EQ funding available

Clubs are also eligible to apply for funding under our statewide and discipline-specific programs including:

The Equestrian Queensland Sport Development Funding Regional Events Judge Assistance program which offers up to $200 per application 2019 to affiliated clubs and Equestrian Queensland Sport Committees to support development in Dressage, Eventing and Jumping.

The Equestrian Queensland Safety and equipment subsidy for regional clubs which offers $10,000 to affiliated regional clubs to help improve safety and standards.

As part of our ongoing commitment to increasing the standard of excellence in the sport, Equestrian Queensland provides funding for accredited coaches and officials toward the cost of attending EA/FEI nationally and internationally recognised upgrade or refresher courses. Applications must be endorsed by the relevant EQ Sport Committee.

Through the International Competition and Development Funding Program funding is provided toward the cost of travel and/or accommodation for foreign technical officials (such as judges, technical delegates, course designers and stewards) to attend Queensland FEI events, especially if they run clinics for the education of officials. There is also funding available through this program for new national events or showcase events. Applications must be endorsed by the relevant EQ Sport Committee.
