Registration Information

Thank you for registering for the 2019 Partnership for America's Children Executive Directors Retreat, to be held at Le Méridien Hotel in Arlington, VA. The hotel is located about 5 miles from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

Important Dates

  • Registration Due: Friday, August 2
  • Partnership Executive Director Retreat: Monday evening, September 16 – Wednesday, September 18
  • Partnership Senior Staff Retreat: Monday evening, September 16 – Wednesday, September 18

Arrival and Departure Information

The Partnership ED Retreat will kick off at 5:00 pm on Monday evening, with an opening session, reception, and dinner, and it will conclude with a boxed lunch at 12:30 on Wednesday.  

Note that the hotel is located close to the Rosslyn Metro station, on the Orange Line.  This provides easy access to the Capitol and congressional offices via the Capitol South station, for retreat participants who want to meet with their congressional delegations while in the DC area.

Travel and Hotel Expenses

The Partnership will cover travel expenses and hotel rooms for September 16 and 17, for executive directors of member organizations that have paid their 2019-20 dues. Dues invoices will be sent out in July.  If your organization can't pay its dues by September 15, please contact Debbie, dstein@foramericaschildren.org, to request an extension.

Please make your own travel arrangements (at the most economical rates, to hold down our costs and allow Partnership resources to be available for other activities and work).  If you have already booked your flights, please input that information in the survey below. Otherwise, please email your flight info to Susan when you have it.

Following the Retreat, the Partnership will reimburse travel expenses for all executive directors from member organizations that have paid their 2019-20 dues. 

Your room will be included on the master bill and your reservation will be handled by the Partnership, using the information you provide through this survey. You will receive an email with your hotel confirmation number closer to the retreat. When you arrive at the hotel, you will be asked to provide a credit card for incidentals, which will be your responsibility. 

If your airfare will be more than $600, please check with Susan before purchasing your tickets.  If you need to arrive early or stay late and will require an extra night in the hotel, please let Susan know, so she can make sure your room reservation is correct.

The ED Retreat will include:

  • An opening session, reception, and dinner Monday evening
  • Breakfast, morning break, lunch, afternoon break, and a reception on Tuesday
  • Breakfast, morning break, and a boxed lunch on Wednesday
  • Hospitality suites on Monday and Tuesday evenings
  • All meeting materials
