Mentor Application: Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program: Oakland

Thank you for your interest in becoming a NYFA Mentor! Please complete the questionnaire below and review Mentor Expectations:

Review applications specific to your discipline area to identify 3 potential mentees based on a connection to their artistic vision, reviewing their short-term/long-term goals, challenges they have identified in their application, and that as a mentor you feel able to provide guidance to help mentees achieve their goals.

Attend Introductory Artist as Entrepreneur: Saturday, January 26, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Attend Mid-check in gathering: Thursday, March 14, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Attend Final Group Presentations & Celebration: Sunday, April 28, 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Meet individually with Mentee (3 times recommended outside group meetings), and communicate at least six hours over the course of the four-month mentorship. January 2019 - April 2019
NYFA provides a stipend of $600 to mentors (provided in two installments of $300), to support your time invested in the program.

When applying, please hold the dates of the meetings until confirmation.
 
We will confirm your participation in late November and follow up with additional program information once we hear from the larger group.
