Special Arts Integration Training Series

Celebrate the joy of ART in your early childhood classroom!

OVERVIEW

Think, problem solve, create! Children develop creativity, social skills and fine motor skills with open-ended art projects where they can make choices, use their imaginations, and create with their hands. This Week of the Young Child, join Partners for Children & Families and the Arts Council of Moore County in celebrating the joy and learning children experience when engaged in creative art making.

In March 2019, we are offering a series of special professional development trainings focused on helping early educators infuse arts and creativity into their classrooms. Each training participant will:
LEARN artistic techniques from a local professional artist

  • PRACTICE making art
  • INTEGRATE arts into their classroom
  • RECEIVE a delivery of fun arts materials for use with children in their care
  • CELEBRATE their children’s creativity in a local art exhibit
This will be a free training opportunity; however all participants must be committed to putting the learning components of the training into practice. This will require ongoing collaboration with our Child Care Technical Assistance staff to create and implement a Classroom Technical Assistance Plan.
