Program 4: Open to affiliated regional clubs

Submission of the application form indicates acceptance of the program terms and conditions outlined below.
The Equestrian Queensland Sport Development Funding Regional Events Judge Assistance program which offers up to $400 per application 2019 to affiliated clubs and Equestrian Queensland Sport Committees to support development in Dressage, Eventing and Jumping.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for funding under this program your organisation/Sport Committee must meet the following criteria:
·       be a current club affiliate of Equestrian Queensland or an Equestrian Queensland Sport
·       operate as a not-for-profit organisation
·       have a philosophy that aims to develop and grow membership through increased participation in equestrian sport
·       use EA current and registered coaches, officials and/or EA nationally recognised qualified professionals.
·       a club is considered regional if it is located more than 400km from Brisbane CBD in the state of Queensland;

Clubs may only claim for competitive events that meet the following criteria:
·       Dressage: 1* or above competition (2** or Regional Championships may be given priority). Classes from Prelim to PSG to be offered in the schedule
·       Jumping: Classes of 1.15m and above to be offered in the schedule. (Major events may be given priority)
·       Eventing: 1* or above classes to be offered in the schedule (events offering 2** classes may be given priority)
·       All disciplines: event must run over two days

How to apply
1.       Ensure your club meets the eligibility criteria outlined above
2.       Complete the online applications form including the following key areas:
        ·       What is the venue and date of the proposed competition?
        ·       What classes will be offered at the competition?
        ·       What officials will be officiating at the competition?
        ·       What is the expected number of EQ members who will attend the competition?

How much funding can my club receive?
Affiliated clubs may access up to a maximum of $400 per application and can apply for two subsidies per year.
Important dates
All funding applications must be submitted no later than COB 17 July 2019. Applications can be submitted for events held up to 5 December 2019.

If funding is approved your organisation must submit all required follow-up paperwork and invoices to EQ within 1 month of your competition. Failure to do so may result in any unpaid monies being forfeited.

How is my application assessed?
To be eligible for consideration your organisation/Sport Committee must meet all the criteria and represent one of the following disciplines; Jumping, Dressage or Eventing. The competition you are applying for funding for must be approved by the relevant Sport Committee. We recommend that clubs advise the relevant EQ Sport Committee of their application.

All affiliated organisations will be notified in writing as to their application success or otherwise.

Equestrian Queensland reserves the right to determine priorities for the allocation of funding. The following will be taken into account:
·       The quality of the information provided
·       The total funds available in the program

What is required from my club?
You must ensure that all sections of the online application are completed. The EQ office will contact you if further information is required in order to assess your application.

If your application for funding is approved you are eligible to receive up to 100% of the approved amount after the date of the competition, upon the receipt of;
·       an invoice addressed to Equestrian Queensland (to include club ABN, payment details and name/date of competition)
·       completed attendees list (listing participants full names and EQ membership status)
·       copy of the acknowledgement of EQ funding (see below)

Equestrian Queensland reserves the right to review final allocation of funding following receipt of final documentation where the information supplied differs greatly to the original application or where the terms and conditions of funding have not been met.

Acknowledgement
EQ will provide an advertisement for inclusion in the club newsletter, website and social media.

All material such as flyers, posters, social media posts promoting the clinic or workshop is required to include the following acknowledgement:

“This event is partially funded through the Equestrian Queensland Sport Development Regional Events Judge Assistance program for 2019.”
Other EQ funding available to regional clubs and members

Regional clubs are also eligible to apply for funding under our statewide and discipline-specific programs including:

The Equestrian Queensland Sport Development Funding Program which offers $30,000 in 2019 to affiliated clubs and Equestrian Queensland Sport Committees to support development and growth in Dressage, Eventing and Jumping.

The Equestrian Queensland Safety and equipment subsidy for regional clubs which offers $10,000 to affiliated regional clubs to help improve safety and standards.

As part of our ongoing commitment to increasing the standard of excellence in the sport, Equestrian Queensland provides funding for accredited coaches and officials toward the cost of attending EA/FEI nationally and internationally recognised upgrade or refresher courses. Applications must be endorsed by the relevant EQ Sport Committee.

Through the International Competition and Development Funding Program funding is provided toward the cost of travel and/or accommodation for foreign technical officials (such as judges, technical delegates, course designers and stewards) to attend Queensland FEI events, especially if they run clinics for the education of officials. There is also funding available through this program for new national events or showcase events. Applications must be endorsed by the relevant EQ Sport Committee.
