Nonprofit Management Certificate Application Instructions

Thanks to the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation's generous sponsorship, CNM is offering nonprofit organizations serving the Arlington community the opportunity to apply for a special Nonprofit Management Certificate starting this July in Arlington.
 
The Nonprofit Management Certificate program is a series of seven full-day sessions that provide in-depth instruction on the key components of the operations of nonprofit organizations. A mix of theory and practice, the series addresses the scope of the nonprofit sector, governing, leading and managing, resource acquisition, outcomes evaluation, risk management and legal, and marketing. As a cohort, students learn together what it takes to operate a human service organization in a rapidly changing environment.
 
Objectives
Upon completion, participants will be able to:

- Identify major theories of management and explain the relevance of their major principles to the management of nonprofit human service organizations

- Demonstrate knowledge of the organizational factors that indicate excellence in the management of human service agencies, including the incorporation of ethics and values into the management of the organization

- Demonstrate the components of an organization and the ways in which they should be managed in order to achieve internal consistency and integrity

Eligibility Requirements:
Application Required. Preference will be given to organizations that are located in and serving the Arlington community. Consideration will be given to organizations that are located outside of Arlington but have satellite offices in or provide services to the Arlington community. Participants will be selected by the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, in conjunction with CNM.

Program Fee:
Thanks to the generosity of Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, should you be awarded this opportunity, your organization's fee (per person) to participate will be $600 (unsubsidized non-member rate: $1,200). Course fee includes all materials and lunch.
