Application Materials 

Thanks for your willingness to participate in the Pyramid Program. This program has been consolidated with the Larry and Judy Garatoni Building Better Men Program. Scoring for the Program is determined by three different factors— total Pyramid score (85%), a reflection summary (10%), and a letter of recommendation from an advisor (5%).

You will need the following in order to submit a complete application:  
  1. A reflection letter or video (whichever you choose)
  2. A letter of recommendation from an advisor or alumni 
The information you submit will be used to determine the winners for the following pyramid awards:  
  • 1st place and a $100,000.00 grand prize
  • 2nd place and a $25,000.00 prize
  • Best New Chapter/Colony (also known as the Rattle Award) and a $25,000.00 prize 
This information will also be used to choose the winners for the National Fraternity Awards that are given out annually. These awards will be announced on social media and given out during the summer.  Below are the awards: 
  • Kahlert Academic Excellence Award
  • Outstanding Chapter Operations Award
  • Outstanding Recruitment & Retention Award
  • Outstanding National Involvement Award
  • Outstanding Philanthropy & Service Award
  • Outstanding Campus Involvement Award
  • Outstanding Risk Reduction & Education Award

Next, you will want to upload your reflection summary here. As a reminder, this can be an essay or a video. Keep your essay 400-600 words or your video 3 - 5 minutes. 

PRO TIP: If you are submitted a video, survey monkey will not allow you to submit the actual link because of the size and file type. Instead, put the link to your video in a word doc (make sure its identifiable for your chapter/colony) and submit that via the link below. Please make sure the link is not protected so we can view it!

You should email Drew Hopson, Director of Chapter Services at Drew@triangle.org to schedule a pyramid review. Please plan for this meeting to be an hour in length. For this meeting you will need a copy of your most recent grade report and access to your officer binders/google drives.
