Program 7: Open to affiliated clubs and EQ Sport Committees

Submission of the application form indicates acceptance of the program terms and conditions outlined below.
The Equestrian Queensland (EQ) Facility Subsidy is a new program introduced in 2018 to provide affiliated EQ clubs or EQ Sport Committees with the opportunity to apply for funding to assist with the implementation of initiatives which improves safety and/or horse welfare.

Projects

EQ affiliated clubs or EQ Sport Committees can apply for a share of $10,000 in funding assistance to improve safety and/or horse welfare at their club grounds through:

·       facility upgrades

·       contracting external suppliers to make improvements/grounds maintenance for events

·       purchase of new equipment

EQ affiliated clubs or EQ Sport Committees may submit joint applications providing all clubs are current EQ affiliates. EQ affiliated clubs that don’t have permanent grounds may apply for this grant providing it can be demonstrated that it will provide an ongoing benefit to club & EQ members.

·       Submission of all the required information prior to the closing date

Criteria

Funding assistance will be selected based on the information provided as part of the submission form in the following criteria’s:

·       The subsidy amount requested and how it compares to the total project cost

·       The needs of the affiliated club or sport committee and the impact the subsidy will have on current and potential members

·       How the affiliated club or sport committee will utilise the subsidy to demonstrate improved safety and/or horse welfare

·       Participation in and use of EQ & EA programs, activities and events

·       Will be judged by an EQ selection panel and beneficiaries announced after the round closes.

Conditions

·       Submissions must include honest and accurate information and cover aspects that will benefit the affiliated clubs and sport committee and its members and competitors on a whole

·       Maximum subsidy amount is $5000 per submission and spent in 2018.

·       Successful applicants may be contacted to supply information and photos of how the subsidy was used for use on EQ’s website and reports.
.        Receipts must be presented to EQ within 3 months of the announcement- EQ requires receipts for the purchasing of equipment to ensure that the subsidy is spent appropriately
