The mission of the Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville is to provide low-cost lodging for pediatric patients and/or their families while the child is receiving intensive medical treatment at the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital. The House offers an affordable, calm, comfortable haven – a home away from home – for its guests. For exhausted parents, who are already stressed by the illness of their child, it is a place where families can relax, eat together, and find support from parents who are in similar situations.

The House has bedrooms for 19 different families and runs at full occupancy most nights. It provides four fully equipped kitchen stations, a hearth room for dining and socializing, play room, wi-fi, a library, and a laundry room with all needed supplies. The House is staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. As part of its mission the House seeks volunteer partners in the community to provide meals and pantry items for the families so they can concentrate on their little ones and not worry about food and lodging. And, as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, the House looks to individuals, organizations, and businesses for donations to support its mission.

The Staff and Families are very grateful for the many, many people who have supported the House throughout its 38 years of service. And a special thanks to those of you who will partner with us now and make the 2018 Rotary Golf Tournament at Lakeview Golf Club a success.

There are multiple ways you can participate in the tournament. Please read the attached and consider how you might join us to support this important charity.
