Welcome to the 2018 edition of the Working Mother & AVTAR Best Companies for Women in India initiative!

Working Mother a division of Bonnier Corporation (US) that works to advocate the cause of working women, and AVTAR - a pioneer in Diversity & Inclusion studies in India that assists discerning organizations in making their workplaces more welcoming for women, come together to launch the third edition of the study in India to recognize and honor companies that successfully help women lead sustainable careers. The study has seen two very successful runs in India in 2017 and 2016, going on to list and showcase one hundred best companies for women in India in both these years.

This study was launched in the United States in 1986 by Working Mother and in over 32 years of its existence continues to raise awareness of the issues women face in the workplace and encourages the development of programs to address those issues. The second edition of the study in 2017 was extremely well received in corporate India with over 360 companies participating. The key feature of the Working Mother & AVTAR Best Companies for Women in India initiative is that it is entirely an alphabetical listing. Last year’s 2017 Top 10 Best Companies for Women in India (listed alphabetically) are Accenture, Deloitte, EY, IBM, Northern Trust, People Combine, P&G, Schneider Electric, Shell and TCS.
