ABOUT US
Community Innovation Lab is a not-for-profit organization based in Durham Region. We address the social and economic gaps in communities through innovation and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to inspire, catalyze, and advance a community of entrepreneurs. We are an incubator for enterprising ideas and an accelerator for promising ventures.

The Refinery is a program for female entrepreneurs. It offers ideas, inspiration, and motivation to help women to build an action plan and support business growth. The Refinery’s business growth pipeline reflects the lived experience of women, the best practices in accelerators, incubators and community hubs, the research on women and entrepreneurship – and our collective wish that all women can dream, thrive and make a difference. As a project of the Community Innovation Lab, The Refinery is also a marketing partner for members and will host product launches, professional events, and business meetings at the Co-iLab Hub, located at 600 Rossland Road West in Oshawa, Ontario.

WHAT’S INVOLVED IN THE INTENSIVE PROGRAM
The Refinery's Intensive will include three workshops (which have been determined based on the feedback from the boot camps and the suggestions from our alumnae), monthly networking events with you and your mentors/advisors/coaches, support for your personal and professional development, as well as support and guidance for how a mentor/coach/advisor can help you to meet your goals. 

The three topics for Stage 1-Foundational Workshops are: 
1.1 Developing your Venture System - July 7th (9AM-4PM)
1.2 Customer Experience- July 14th (9AM-4PM) 
1.3 Pitching and Storytelling- August 11th (9AM-4PM) 
Please note that these workshops are to be attended on-site at the Community Innovation Lab. 

Stage 2: Go for Growth
3 Day ON-Site Moving to a Million Training September 19-21st 

All sessions will be hosted on Mondays and Thursdays every week starting September 24th- Jan 21st which can be attended virtually. 

1/2 day on- site workshops: 
October 25th- 11AM-3PM
November 29th-11AM- 3PM 
January 24th- 11AM-3PM
February 21st-11AM -3 PM 

Stage 3: Venture Support 
The Refinery team will provide ongoing venture support from February 2019 to May 31, 2019. You can access the space at the Co-iLab Hub for free, to conduct your business on a drop-in basis. We will organize specialized optional workshops through Essentials, offered weekly at our Co-iLab Hub to help your business continue to flourish.

If accepted into the Intensive program, we will also profile your business on a special page dedicated to women entrepreneurs on the Community Innovation Lab website (www.communityilab.ca). We will only publish the information that you have authorized, all other information will be kept confidential. This information will be collected from you upon acceptance into The Refinery's Intensive program. 

WHAT'S INVOLVED IN THIS APPLICATION
The Refinery's Intensive program is built and geared towards women entrepreneurs who have established sales, a presence either online or at a brick & mortar location and completed The Refinery's boot camp. This application will ask for information about these criteria to qualify you for the program, as well as other information about your business goals and action plan for the future. This registration will take approximately 30 minutes of your time.

CONFIDENTIALITY
The information you provide will be kept confidential, i.e. your name will not appear unless you have given your express consent. 
 
VOLUNTARY REGISTRATION
Registration is voluntary. If you wish, you may decline to provide any information or participate in any component of the program. Further, you may decide to withdraw your registration at any time or to request withdrawal of your
