Public Research Poster Presentations

Showcase your STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) research, practice science communication skills, and compete to win cash prizes. 
WHEN:Saturday, June 9, 2018 (Event runs 9am-5pm; Poster presentations are scheduled for a 2 hr block in AM or PM)

Register here to present your research poster in one of four categories:
  1. High School Students; Grand Prize $500; Runner-Up $250 Scholarship
  2. K-12 Teachers; Grand Prize $750; Runner-Up $500 Classroom Grant
  3. Undergraduate Students; Grand Prize $500; Runner-Up $250 Scholarship
  4. Graduate Students/Post-doctoral Fellows; Grand Prize $500; Runner-Up $250 Scholarship
Students are categorized based on their status in the previous academic year (2017-2018). If a poster is presented by a team, the award is split between presenters. Award recipients are responsible for the tax implications of their award.

Additional Details:
  • Poster should not exceed 48” wide by 36” high
  • Poster can represent current or previous research.
  • Posters will be on display from 9am-5pm during the It’s All About Science Festival event (posters can be hung up to 24 hours prior to the event).
  • Participants will be scheduled to stand with their poster and present to non-scientist community members and judges for a 2-hour block.

The strongest entries will demonstrate sound scientific content, display organized data and interpretations, and be clearly presented by the participant to engage a non-scientist audience (see the website for the judging rubric).
