2018 PRPS Conference Speaker Call for Proposals

The 2018 Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society Conference Committee is seeking proposals for educational sessions to be presented at the 71st Annual State Conference. The Conference will be held Tuesday-Friday, March 27-30 at Kalahari Resort in Pocono Manor, PA.

The Conference is attended by over 400 persons involved in the broad field of recreation, parks, and conservation. Attendees are managers and staff of local, county, state, and federal recreation and park areas and facilities, aquatic facility managers, trail and greenway coordinators, local and state government officials, recreation and park board members, friends, and students in parks and recreation college programs.

Sessions are 60-75 minutes in length; multi-session workshops may be included. Session formats may include single speakers, panel presentations, interactive programs, and hands-on demonstrations.

The 2018 Conference Committee is emphasizing sessions that fall within the following program paths with a focus on the conference theme: The Spirit of Recreation
