Thank you for your interest in coaching at The First Tee academies.  A diverse pool of applicants (diverse in age, gender, ethnicity, and experience) is imperative to the selection process in order to provide the best academy experience to The First Tee participants.  While the home office selects a mix of new and returning coaches, no coach is able to attend the same academy three consecutive years. 
96 participants will have the opportunity to test and challenge their game at the Forest Akers Golf Course. Forest Akers Golf Courses are recognized as two of the best public golf courses in the state of Michigan and home to the Big Ten champion Michigan State University Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams. The 20 acre practice area opened in 1997 and was rated as one of the top ten new ranges in the U.S.
