2018 Educator of the Year Nomination Form

The Portage County Business Council's Golden Apple Awards honor outstanding educators in Portage County. From a business perspective, we recognize the lasting impact Pre-K through 12th grade teachers have on their students; the youth who will become the future workforce and business leaders in their community.

Please help us to acknowledge those teachers who go above and beyond to provide an outstanding education to their pupils. Nominate that teacher for a Golden Apple award today.

Nomination Process: From the nominations submitted each month, one teacher will be chosen as the teacher of the month. These nominations will be reviewed and of the 8 teachers chosen (Oct. - June), one will be selected to receive the "Educator of the Year Award" at the PIE Social on Wednesday, August 22, 2018.

Eligibility Requirements: Pre-K to 12th grade teacher in good standing, from a district in Portage County (WI) or one within our Inspire network, with at least one year of teaching at their current district.

General Award Criteria: Teacher inspires students to learn, encourages students’ intellectual interests, demonstrates enthusiasm and vitality in learning and teaching, and exhibits innovative teaching strategies. Teacher goes above and beyond in their role, supporting students and fellow educators.
