2018 Children's Interagency Conference Awards

The 20th Children's interagency Conference award winners will be selected based on the information you provide in the nomination submission. Each category represents the CASSP Principles and System of Care Standards. 

Provide an overview of the nominee(s) and the reason for your nomination. Please consider the following when submitting:
  • Describe the nominee(s) with concise details of their accomplishments and overall impact on improving cross systems collaboration.
  • Try to provide compelling and personal examples that convey the impact of their work, their character, compassion, and commitment to improving the lives of children. youth, and families.
  • In addition to the written overview, include any multimedia links that may help supplement your nomination (do not send any audio or video files, discs, or drives), photographs, bullet points, graph, and media articles.
  • Remember to address the reason for your nomination in the selected award category and why the nominee stands out "above and beyond" others in that category. 
 
Judging:  

Representatives of the awards committee will review all nominations and select the recipients of the awards. Decisions will be based on the quality and wide-ranging impact of the actions of each of the nominees. The awards committee includes youth, family, and system partners.

Nomination Categories are as Follow:

Youth Leadership Award -  The individual or group must be currently or formerly involved in the receipt of mental health and/or cross-system services. Nominations should describe the youth's or group's efforts in leadership, innovations, and advocacy on behalf of themselves and/or their peers in the systems.

Family Leadership Award - The individual or group must be currently or formerly involved in a child/youth’s (age birth-26) receipt of mental health services and cross-system services. Nominations should describe the family's or group's efforts in leadership, innovations, and advocacy on behalf of themselves and/or their peers in the systems.  

Community and Natural Supports Award - The individual, group, or agency must be independent from formal behavioral health and cross systems who has developed services in the community that have enhanced the quality and security for the life of children, young adults, and families in their county/counties.  

County Coordinator Award - The CASSP, Systems of Care, or Children's Coordinator must have collaborated effectively among other cross-systems in or outside their county/counties to ensure that appropriate services are meeting the needs of children, young adults, and families in their county/counties. 

Cultural and Linguistic Competence Award - The individual, group, or provider must demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence in meeting the needs of children, young adults, and families in their county/counties. 

Innovation in Services Award -The cross-systems provider agency must have developed services or a planning process within their community and county to enhance the quality and security of life for children, young adults, and families in their county/counties.

Visionary Leadership Award - Through their profession, the individual, group, or provider must have had an impact on system change, judicial improvement, service delivery, youth/family support whether locally or throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This person or organization must demonstrate a commitment to building cooperative relationships across all systems.
