The PENS Conference Planning Committee is seeking advanced practice nurses (APNs) as case study presenters.  We are looking for ADVANCED endocrine and diabetes cases for presentation at the 2018 PENS National Conference on May 13-16, 2018 in Bonita Springs, Florida.

We are specifically seeking patient cases on topics that have not been recently presented at a PENS conference and especially those that include pharmacology content, as outlined below:

·       diabetes insipidus
·       bone disorders and bisphosphonate therapy
·       vitamin D disorders
·       hypercalcemia and treatment
·       hyperinsulinism
·       pheochromocytoma
·       Noonan or Kleinfelters and treatment
·       Prader Willi Syndrome and treatment
·       MODY
·       neonatal diabetes
·       genetic disorders (Turner Syndrome, etc.)
·       PCOS and treatment
·       transgender care and best practices
·       contraception options
·       adrenal insufficiency and treatment
·       androgen insensitivity; ambiguous genitalia
·       shared appointments and other clinical practice models
·       successful transition to adult care

Cases can vary from routine to complex, a case that has been solved or one that you need help with, and a success story or one that didn’t go so well. They can speak to the lessons you learned or a unique approach you took.

This is your opportunity to get a little public speaking experience by presenting a 15-minute clinical case (plus 5 minutes for audience participation = 20 minutes total) in front of your peers, mentors and friends (less scary than strangers).
