AHVRP 2018 Call for Conference Poster Sessions

Thank you for your interest in the AHVRP 2018 Call for Conference Poster Sessions. Poster sessions provide relevant and cutting-edge information, best practices and essential tools in a poster format at the 50th Annual AHVRP Conference & Exposition, September 28 - October 2, 2018, Rosemont, Illinois. This year's conference theme is "GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES: Patients, Community, YOU!"

The Call for Poster Sessions opens December 7, 2017 and closes February 8, 2018 (11:59 p.m. CT). All participants will be notified via email by April 4, 2018, whether or not the submission has been selected. Be sure you have reviewed the Call for Poster Sessions information page on our website. Here you can find details about submitter benefits, terms and conditions, due dates and other information that may answer your questions.

Please note:
- You must complete the entire proposal once you begin entering information; you will not be able to save and continue later. [You can exit this survey after reading this entire page without starting the process.] There are required fields that must be completed in all sections. Incomplete proposals will not be considered.
- You can make multiple submissions should you have more than one poster idea.

AHVRP is offering this education platform in 2018 as a way to allow subject matter experts to facilitate informal discussions between presenters and their audience. Poster presentations provide a more intimate forum for exchange than regular presentations. The poster should be specific to health care volunteer resources or the health care retail profession, and should provide attendees with a solution to a health care volunteer service or health care retail operations challenge or research results.

Poster presenters will be face-to-face with attendees, making valuable connections and will be seen as the expert prominently displaying the poster at the  50th Annual AHVRP Conference in Rosemont, IL.

Ideally, a well-constructed poster will be self-explanatory and free you from answering obvious questions so that you are available to supplement and discuss particular points of interest. Successful poster presentations are those which achieve both coverage and clarity. This poster will be an original work of the submitter, in an EPS or PDF format and will fit on a 16" X 20" portrait poster. The submitter's name, organization name and contact information (email and phone number) should be included in the lower right corner of the poster. If selected, this EPS or PDF  file of the poster must be sent to AHVRP by May 3, 2018.

Please email AHVRP at ahvrp@aha.org with any questions.

All submissions will be reviewed and selected based on several key elements, including:
- Content relevance to the profession and body of knowledge of the Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS) credential or directly to healthcare retail operations
- Quality of learning objectives with measurable outcomes and actionable items from the poster

Poster proposals are evaluated using the following additional criteria:
- Poster content is current and practical, cutting edge or innovative, as it relates to volunteer management in health care settings or health care retail operations
- Poster includes programs and initiatives that demonstrate measurable business impact and results
- Poster demonstrates relevance to the conference theme

Thank you for your interest in submitting a poster for the 50th Annual AHVRP Conference and Exposition. We appreciate your contribution.
