1. Introduction

The Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) holds an annual conference each fall to provide the library community with continuing education and networking opportunities. This year's conference will take place Sunday, October 15 - Wednesday, October 18 at the DoubleTree by Hilton located in Pittsburgh-Greentree.

Poster sessions provide a forum for library professionals from across the state to share their successful ideas or innovations with colleagues. The tone is casual and the mode is highly interactive. The object is to gather feedback and to make connections with others interested in the same subject.

Poster sessions are displayed on poster boards (4 ft x 6ft). Pictures, graphs, data and text are used to illustrate the presentation. An effective poster presentation highlights, with visual display, the main points or components of your topic; the presenter fills in the details verbally and answers questions from those viewing the poster. Handouts are optional.

Poster Sessions can cover any project or program. They are a great way to share your interesting work without doing a formal presentation.  Submission deadline is Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
