1. Techie Camp Student Application

With support from the AEP Foundation Credits Count Program and Columbus State, TECH CORPS will implement its Summer IT On Ramp program with 20 rising 9th - 10th grade students from across Columbus during the summer of 2017. 

Summer IT On Ramp program is a full day, two-week experience designed to expose students to a variety of computing topics including app development, game design, software development and web development. Through exposure, exploration and project design, this program seeks to provide students with a deeper awareness of technology pathways and prepare them for greater success in technology pathway programs in high school and beyond.

The camp is comprised of 20 students and led by two TECH CORPS Instructors.
The camp will run the weeks of June 19-23 AND June 26-30 from 9:00AM-4:00PM each day.
*Students must commit to attending both weeks.
Families will be responsible for transportation.
Camps will be held at the Columbus State Workforce Development (WD) building.
*Students who complete the program will receive an incentive worth up to $200.
 
Student Selection Process:
Students interested in being selected to participate will need to complete the full application before the Friday, May 5, 2017 deadline. Up to 20 students will be selected for the camp based on their application (10 points), interest questions (60 points) and letter of recommendation (30 points). Students will be notified of selection by Friday, May 12th.
