1. Coding Camp Student Application

With support from Battelle, TECH CORPS will implement its High School Coding Camp® program with 20 Columbus City Schools students during the summer of 2017.
 
High School Coding Camp is is a full-day, week-long experience designed to engage high school students in hands-on, interactive coding activities. High school Coding Camp allows students to learn the concepts of computer programming and encourages them to think about complex ideas and concepts rationally and logically.  
 
Each camp is comprised of 20 students and led by two TECH CORPS Instructors.

This offering will be a two-week experience for students with the following tracks:
  • Week 1: C#
  • Week 2: Cyber Security

The camps will run the weeks of July 10-14 AND July 17-21 from 9:00AM-4:00PM each day.
*Students must commit to attending both weeks.
Families will be responsible for transportation and snacks/lunch/beverages each day.
Camps will be held at Franklin University.

THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO MEET BOTH OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
-Live or attend school in Central Ohio.
-Will be enrolled in the 11th-12th grade in the Fall of 2017.
 
Student Selection Process:

Students interested in being selected to participate will need to complete an online application before Friday, May 5th. Applications will be evaluated in the order received. Up to 20 students will be selected based on their application (10 points), interest questions (60 points) and letter of recommendation (30 points). Student will be notified via email by Friday, May 12th.
