1. HS Coding Camp Student Application

With support from Battelle, TECH CORPS will implement its High School Coding Camp program with 20 rising 11th - 12th grade students from across Central Ohio during the summer of 2017.

High School Coding Camp is a full-day, week-long experience designed to engage high school students in hands-on,
interactive coding activities. High school Coding Camp allows students to learn the concepts of computer programming and encourages them to think about complex ideas and concepts rationally and logically.

Each camp is comprised of 20 students and led by two TECH CORPS Instructors.
The topic for this camp is Cyber Security, and students will have an opportunity to receive college credit for successful completion.
The camps will run the weeks of July 24-28 from 9:00AM-4:00PM each day.
Families will be responsible for transportation and snacks/lunch/beverages each day.
Camps will be held at Franklin University.

THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO MEET BOTH OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
-Live or attend school in Central Ohio
-Will be enrolled in the 11th-12th grade in the Fall of 2017

Student Selection Process:

Students interested in being selected to participate will need to complete the full application before the Friday, May 5, 2017 deadline. Up to 20 students will be selected for the camp based on their complete application (10 points), student interest questions (60 points) and letter of recommendation (30 points). Students will be notified of selection by Friday, May 12th.
