NALPnext!

NALP is trying something new…

At the Annual Conference in San Francisco, NALP will host its own version of TED Talks – NALPnext Talks! NALP members will have an opportunity to present short, engaging talks of not more than ten minutes on ideas worth sharing about the future of careers and the legal profession.  Some will be presented live and others will be recorded for later viewing.

What’s next for you, your organization or the legal profession? What are you and your colleagues doing to innovate during this time of rapid change in the profession?  Share your best innovative practices with your colleagues!

NALP invites you to submit a proposal for a short TED talk-style ten minute presentation.  Four of the best proposals will be selected to be presented live during the conference, at a session scheduled for 2:15 on Thursday, April 20.  Others will be shown on video monitors during the conference or on NALP’s website.  Some proposals may be selected to be filmed on site and shown later.

To be considered for participation in this innovative program, you must complete this short online proposal form - continue below.

In addition to the formal proposal, you are also encouraged to make a video of your talk!  Set up your iPhone or your Samsung and give it a whirl!  Videos may be uploaded to this link - https://www.dropbox.com/request/skeLaUgMR75NOp3ewfpY

All videos submitted become the sole property of NALP.  NALP reserves the right to host these videos on its website or show them in any setting.  By submitting a video the presenter consents to allow NALP to use the video for any educational purpose.

Talks should be given by a solo presenter and should answer the questions What's Next?  What's next for you, for your organization, or for the legal profession? They should showcase an innovative practice.  They should not be longer than ten minutes.  Proposals with and without accompanying videos will both be considered.

Submissions are due by Friday, March 3, 2017.

Thank you for your interest in participating in this innovative learning experience at the NALP Annual Education Conference.
