WHAT IS THE CHARTER SCHOOL LEADERSHIP INTENSIVE?

The Charter School Leadership Intensive is a leadership training opportunity designed specifically for leaders of charter schools located in the state of California. This training consists of an intensive, four-day "bootcamp" in June and is designed to ensure that charter school leaders have the knowledge and skills to effectively lead their schools. The Leadership Intensive is organized by the Charter Schools Development Center (CSDC), a non-profit resource center that provides expert technical assistance, training, and resources to California charter school developers, operators, charter-granting agencies, and policymakers.

The training begins Tuesday, June 27 and lasts through Friday, June 30, 2017 and is located at the Hilton Garden Inn Orange County Airport in Irvine, CA.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?

The Leadership Intensive is designed for and targeted at new and experienced California charter school principals and other school leaders who have direct responsibility for overseeing and managing a broad range of responsibilities at their schools. The Leadership Intensive is not appropriate for charter school developers whose charters have not yet been approved, charter school personnel who do not have direct roles in administrative functions, or charter school consultants or service providers. Preference will be given to those applicants whose needs most closely align with the mission and goals of the Leadership Intensive, as well as to those schools serving disadvantaged student populations.
COST: $1,785 per person (or $1,485 for CSDC Member schools).

This fee covers registration, materials, and presentations for the summer bootcamp. Participants are expected to pay the costs of their own travel, lodging, and meals, as well as any incidentals.
