1. Safe, Caring and Inclusive School Survey for Grade 7, 9 and 11 Students

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

The Waterloo Region District School Board is committed to providing safe, caring and inclusive places for everyone in order to help students learn and succeed.

It is important to understand how students feel about their school and their interaction with teachers and peers. Here's your chance to share your opinions. Parents and staff will also be surveyed.

Survey results will identify some of the positive things already happening within your school. These results may also highlight some areas for possible improvement for schools to consider in making their school a safe and friendly place for everyone.

Please note that this is an ANONYMOUS survey. Your answers will be confidential and no one will know your name or your individual answers.

Your anonymous responses may be shared with research partners from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University. Staff from the Waterloo Region District School Board will collaborate with these researchers to analyze the data.

This survey is about four factors that help create their school climate:

1. Teaching and Learning
2. Relationships
3. Safety
4. School Environment

This survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
