About the Conference

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

The Recreation Connections Manitoba (RCM) Annual Provincial Conference is scheduled for February 13 - February 15, 2017 at the Canad Inn Polo Park, Winnipeg. RCM is looking for presenters to deliver inspiring, educational sessions for this annual event, which attracts over 250 delegates. The theme for this year's conference is Outside the Lines: Recreation at its Best.

WHO WILL ATTEND
 
A combination of both rural and urban professionals, practitioners, volunteers, students and elected officials, including:
- Recreation Directors and Programmers
- Facility Managers and Operators
- Community Development Staff
- Provincial Sport Organization Staff and Administrators
- Therapeutic Recreation Professionals and Practitioners
- Youth and Senior Serving Organizations
- Elected Officials and Local Government Administrators
- Emerging Leaders, Students and New Professionals
- Allied Leisure and Health Professionals
- Recreation and Wellness Facilitators
- Provincial Government Staff and Administrators

TRAVEL POLICY

If you are required to travel for the conference, Recreation Connections Manitoba has a travel policy which outlines what expenses will be covered. The details of this policy are as follow:
1. Flying - Round trip economy airfare. Taxi service from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport. Recreation Connections Manitoba will not cover the cost to upgrade or change flights or additional luggage costs.
2. Driving - Mileage at a rate of 
3. Hotel - Maximum of 2 nights' accommodations. 
4. Meals - Meals incurred outside of conference hours for the duration of time the presenter is there for conference responsibilities.
