Thank you for your interest in The Carl Boyett Industry Scholarships. This application must be submitted to the Scholarship Coordinator by June 30, 2017.

There are 2 scholarships worth $5,000 each.

Who can apply?
• SIGMA members’ employees who want to pursue a degree, program, or specific training that will help advance or expand their career within their fuels industry company. Scholarship funds awarded must be used within 9 months of official notification.
• Students currently enrolled in a Trade School, Undergraduate, Graduate, or PhD program with a cumulative 2.5 College GPA with a curriculum that has a heavy emphasis specific to the fuels industry. Student must be affiliated with a SIGMA Member as an employee or employee's spouse, child, grandchild, or dependent.

Selection:

Carl Boyett Industry Scholarship applications must include, and recipients will be selected on the basis of, the following criteria:

• Academic record (if applicable) of 2.5 GPA or higher

• An essay from applicants (no more than 1500 words) about your industry interests and goals. Please include answers to the following questions:
1) Why are you passionate about the fuels industry?
2) If you are not a student today, what education you will invest in and why?
3) If you are a student today, what are your post-education plans in the fuels industry?

• Two letters of reference from industry professionals endorsing your work ethic and potential

Notification:
Scholarships will be announced by August 1, 2017.
