AET 2017 Call for Proposals

17% of survey complete.
AET invites you to present at our 39th National Conference, Technology & Innovative Practice.  Our theme this year leverages the realities and opportunities of the digital age while remaining true to our commitment to effectively and passionately support learners who struggle. Technologies that inform and enable our business practices are just as important as those that are used with students. Innovations and collaborations that are informed by sound research and ethical practice support our growing field of professional educational therapists, working in schools as well as in private practices.

Presentation formats include 1) lectures, workshop or panel presentation sessions of three-hours or ninety-minutes and 2) poster sessions.  Proposals should support the theme Technology & Innovative Practice. Possible topics include assistive technology; academic interventions and skill-building; executive functioning; wellness; multi-disciplinary collaboration; business, financial & marketing tools; parent work; and family & community resources.

A limited number of presentations are allotted in the schedule.  Presentation and Panel sessions will be scheduled Friday morning, October 20; Saturday afternoon, October 21; and Sunday morning, October 22.  Poster sessions will be featured during a scheduled afternoon poster session and during breaks on Saturday.

The deadline for submission extended to March 13, 2017.

Proposals that include multiple presenters must be submitted by the Primary Presenter.  It is the Primary Presenter’s responsibility to collect all of the information requested for the submission process on behalf of all presenters participating in the session.
  • All presenters must register for the conference at the published registration rates.
  • A valid email must be provided for all presenters/panelists so we can contact you.
  • The Call for Presentation Proposals submission process is completely electronic.

After completing the online proposal form, email your Presentation Description and CV to Robert Kopchinski  r.kopchinski@aetonline.org for consideration by the Conference Proposal Selection Committee.

Presenters and the Primary Presenter will be notified of acceptance by May 12, 2017.
