National Association for Home Care & Hospice: 2017 Potential Home Care Regulatory Priorities

The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) is seeking member input on its regulatory priorities for 2017. Please complete this questionnaire by Friday, February 3, 2017. Only one form per agency, please.

Require Medicare to fully assess and report on the impact of its new rules.
Ensure reasonable screening, moratoria and compliance plan provisions for home health agencies and hospices.
Ensure claims review decisions at all levels of appeal are consistent.
Develop quality of care standards and accountability for Medicaid personal care services.
Reverse or fully fund changes to companionship services exemption to the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Monitor efforts to audit improper employee classifications as independent contractors.
Oppose public authorities or other measures that restrict consumer choice.
Ensure fairness in government fraud and abuse activities.
Ensure reasonable application and implementation of home health surety bond requirement.
Ensure that Medicare appeals determinations meet federal timeliness standards.
