What is the Protecting Our Water (POW) Awards?
Through a partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency, the Schuylkill Action Network acknowledges students and schools in the Schuylkill Watershed who protect sources of drinking water.
Some examples of projects and activities include:
-Clean water art projects
-Community outreach
-No-mow zones
-Smart application of pesticides, fertilizers, etc.
-Stormwater practices (rain garden, rain barrel, naturalized stormwater basin, bioswale, etc.)
-Tree planting
