1. 2019 First Round Nominations of Top Think Tanks in the World

I pleased to announce the first round of nominations for the 2018 Global Go-To Think Tank Index (aka the Global Think Tank Rankings). I encourage you to submit your nominations on or before September 30, 2018. Note this change to the nominations process was initiated in 2017.

We will only be accepting nominations for think tanks that did not appear in the rankings in 2018 Global Go To Think Tank Index ReportAll think tanks that were ranked and were listed in the 2017 Go To Report will automatically be listed on the 2018 ranking ballot in Round II— the Ranking Round.  Your are are encouraged NOT to submit a nomination for any think tank that was ranked in 2017.

Please consult the Global Go To Think Tank Index Report using the following link to determine if the think tank you want to nominate is listed in last year’s Index:  https://repository.upenn.edu/think_tanks/15/

ll nominations will be tabulated at the end of Round I--Nominations Round. Only those think tanks that receive a minimum of 15 or more nominations will be included in the ranking and indexing process (Round II).

The schedule for the 2018 Global Go To Think Tank Index is as follows:

Recruitment of Expert Panel Members (April-August 2018)
Global Think Tank Database Update (May-August 2018)
Bi-Annual Assessment Survey of the TTCSP (June-September 2018) 
Round I (Think Tank Nominations August 25 - September 30, 2018)
Round II (Think Tank Ranking October 15 - November 15, 2018)
Round III (Expert Panel Review November - December 2018)
2018 Global Go To Think Tanks Index Released on Thursday January 30, 2019. 

Please ONLY submit nominations in categories where you have knowledge and experience. 

Please consult the definitions, nomination and ranking criteria and tools for assessing think tanks when making your nominations. These tools can be found on pages 24-33 using this link:  https://repository.upenn.edu/think_tanks/15/.

Please note that all nominations will be treated as strictly confidential. Your name, institutional affiliation and nominations WILL NOT APPEAR IN ANY PUBLICATION.

It is essential that you careful consider your nominations and utilize the criteria developed for assessing think tanks when developing your nominations. Once again nominations must be submitted on or before September 30, 2018.
