* 5. USTA Southwest Section Dress Code Policy -- All players are required to wear appropriate tennis attire. Cut off shorts, bare midriffs, compression shorts & tights"leggins" (alone - meaning without a skirt over), or any other attire that is simply recreational and is not tennis oriented is not acceptable.

* 7. USTA Southwest Section Overrule Policy -- Once a player has been overruled a second time, they will be cautioned that after another overrule they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system. (point --> game --> match)

Tournament Match Formats -- Singles (64 draw, Feed-In Consolation Draw Through Round of 16, quarterfinal losers feed in to 5th-6th playoff draw) -- Singles Match Format (Best of 3 Tiebreak sets with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak in Lieu of a 3rd Set) -- Doubles (32 Draw, Single Elimination Draw with 3rd/4th Playoff) -- Doubles Match Format (8-Game Pro Set with a 7-Point Tiebreak at 8 games all)

* 9. We will be using 22 courts at the Reffkin Tennis Center for tournament matches. There will only be 3 courts (19-21) available for warm-up during the tournament. If you are wanting to warm-up for a match please use any of the following practice sites; Himmel Tennis Center, DoubleTree Hotel Reid Park, Rincon High School, Catalina Magnet High School, or Ft. Lowell Tennis Center.

Tournament Hitting Sessions -- If you want to setup tournament hitting sessions BEFORE the tournament starts on Wednesday 11/23 or Thursday 11/24, please email ReffkinStaff@gmail.com to set this up by Friday, November 18th. * 15. Their will be a stringer on site throughout the tournament in the Reffkin Tennis Center pro shop (located by court 11). If you need a racket, shoes etc. please visit our retail shop called Match Point that is located by court 6. For lunch during the tournament we will be selling Bruegger's fresh bag lunches in the Reffkin pro shop (turkey sandwich + a cookie for $4.99), we also sell power bars, protein drink, snacks, Gatorade etc. in the pro shop.

If you have any siblings coming with you to the event that want to play tennis --> We are running a Southwest Level 5 sister tournament called Western States (we have all age divisions available). The event will be ran at a tennis center 15 minutes from Reffkin called Tucson Racquet Club, on November 25th-27th. The deadline to register is Wed. Nov. 16th. (we may take registrations after this deadline) The USTA tennislink tournament ID is 750010116.

* 17. Chaired Matches -- The following matches will be chaired by an official: singles semifinals, singles finals, singles 3rd/4th playoff, doubles finals. The rest of the matches in tournament will be covered by roving officials per USTA Nationals standards (1 official per 4 courts)

Day 1 – Nov. 25 – 1 Round of Doubles then 2 Rounds of Singles
Day 2 – Nov. 26 – 2 Rounds of Doubles then 1 Round of Singles(Main Draw) or 2 Rounds of Singles(Consolation)
Day 3 – Nov. 27 – 1 Round of Doubles then 2 Rounds of Singles(Main Draw & Consolation)
Day 4 – Nov. 28 – 1 Round of Doubles then 1 Round of Singles(Main Draw & 3rd Playoff & 5th Playoff) or 2 Rounds of Singles(Consolation)

Withdrawal Policy -- If a player withdraws or defaults (for reason other than illness or injury) from any sanctioned tournament during the tournament or before the tournament, after entries close, that player will be assessed 4 suspension points unless medical documentation of the injury or illness is provided to the Tournament Director by Tuesday, November 29th (9pm). "Player shall not enter tournament player cannot finish. Player shall not enter a tournament (including mandatory consolation) knowing the player will be unable to finish." p119 Friend at Court. This tournament is scheduled November 25th-28th and the player should be available for all matches scheduled during that time frame.

* 20. There will be a tournament player's party on Saturday, November 26th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Free Italian Food Buffet for players along with games. The party will be at Reffkin Tennis Center. If parents are wanting to eat as well, we will have a limited # of food tickets available for purchase starting Friday morning.

* 21. Jim Reffkin Tennis Center requires that you obtain permission from the parent(s) of the other child prior to videotaping a match. If the other child's parent(s) does NOT agree to you videotaping their child, all videotaping must cease immediately. This includes cell phones if they can be construed as videotaping.

* 22. SMART WATCHES & CELL PHONES: No smartwatches allowed and cell phones must be turned off. The only exception is between a 2nd set and match tiebreaker.
