Thanks to a Google RISE award Georgia Tech is organizing computing summer camps for underrepresented (female, African American, Hispanic, Native American, and Alaskan Native) high school students (rising 9-12th grade) who are enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science A course for the 2016-2017 year.  The camps will be free to the students.  The students will be encouraged to help out in their AP CS A classrooms and to run at least one activity for CS education week in early December at their local high schools.

Please recommend students who are outgoing, are leaders, and are willing to help others.  We also ask that you recommend students who might be at risk of failing the exam if they don't get additional help (for example students who do not have any programming experience).

Please nominate up to 4 underrepresented students (females, African American, Hispanic, Native American, and Alaskan Native).  The students must be taking the AP CS A course during the 2016-2017 school year.

The camps will be at Lassiter High School July 11-15th, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School - July 18-22, and  Morehouse College July 25-29th. The camps will be 5 days long and will be day camps (not residential).  We will provide lunch and snacks for the students.  There will be a max of 20 students per camp.
