Thank you for your interest in a Peer Leader Summer 2016 position.
You must attend an information session in order for your application to be considered.If you fail to attend an information session we will not accept your application.
Please carefully review the Peer Leader Selection Process and Overview
The online application is just one part of the application process. You must also submit your references. All application materials are due no later than 4pm on December 11, 2015.
The online portion of this application is due by 4pm and via this link. Recommendation forms are also due by 4pm on December 11, 2015 to the Center for Advising & Student Transitions located in Webster Hall, Room 200A. There will be a drop box inside this office suite. It is recommended that you complete your application early.
Qualified applicants will be invited to attend a group interview process on January 27, 2016 between the hours of 2:30-5pm.
Applicants who successfully make it past the group process will be invited to attend an Individual Interview taking place the week of February 1 – February 12, 2016.
Decision letters will be emailed no later than Tuesday, February 16, 2016.
Spring training begins Wednesday, February 24, 2016 – April 20, 2016.
Before you begin, please note that this application includes two parts. You will need to fill out a series of 5 short questions which you will see a preview of below:
Please note essay questions must be at least 200 words.
1. Why do you think it is critical to have a strong Orientation program at MSU?
2. As a student, what have you contributed to MSU since you began your studies here?
3. What is one way that you have grown through your high school to college transition?
4. What advice would you give to a First-Year student?
5. What advice would you give to the families of an incoming student?
It is strongly suggested that you answer the essay questions prior to starting your application as you must be prepared to fill out this application in its entirety. You will not be able to go back and edit/change your responses.
Please note that we will not accept incomplete applications.
