2016 GREAT LAKES CONFERENCE - MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY – TUESDAY, MARCH 8TH - STIPEND APPLICATION FORM
Stipends for the 2016 Great Lakes Conference are intended to encourage the participation of educators to enhance their understanding of current Great Lakes issues and science, develop their Great Lakes science education network, and advance Great Lakes Literacy in their classroom, school, district or informal education setting.  Complete conference information can be found at: http://www.iwr.msu.edu/events/ANRWeek/greatlakes.asp
2016 Great Lakes Conference stipends of $150 are provided by Great Lakes Restoration Initiative funding through a grant from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and represent a Center for Great Lakes Literacy (CGLL) initiative facilitated by Michigan Sea Grant Extension.  Stipend awards will be limited to the first 40 qualified applicants.  Preference will be given to first time applicants if more than 40 requests are received.
Stipend Application Steps
1. Complete this form. Information requested is required by the grantor, therefore incomplete applications cannot be considered. Applications are due no later than February 26th, 2016.

2. You must ALSO register for the conference itself. Conference registration is separate from and in addition to this stipend application.  To register for the conference and see conference details, go to:  http://www.iwr.msu.edu/events/ANRWeek/greatlakes.asp

3. Applicants will be notified of their stipend status by March 1st, 2016.
Stipend recipients agree and commit to attend all conference sessions as well as the Educator Luncheon sponsored by Michigan Sea Grant Extension.
***  If/when we reach capacity (40), you may still register if you wish to be added to our waiting list.  We will take people from the waiting list in the order that they are received if openings exist.  You can still attend the Great Lakes Conference without attending the Educators Luncheon, and we encourage you to do so.  However, we will not know until on-site registration is completed on March 8 if we will be adding people from the waiting list to attend the luncheon.  If we do so, an announcement will be made immediately prior to the luncheon.  ***
