Criteria: Strategic Leadership Awards shall be presented to outstanding candidates who promote the genetic counseling profession as a recognized and integral part of health care delivery through such avenues as education, advocacy, research and public policy. Candidates must current Student, New Genetic Counselor, Full or Emeritus members of NSGC. When submitting candidates for nomination, please consider the methods outlined in NSGC’s current Strategic Plan. Examples of activities may include, but are not limited to:

Demonstration of strategic thinking and leadership skills through his or her work with NSGC
Significant contributions to the goals of NSGC as related to the Strategic Plan
Please note that if you are nominating someone other than yourself, you will be responsible for contacting the nominee to obtain the necessary materials to complete the nomination and you may submit the nominee's CV to awards@nsgc.org.
The nominee's CV/resume and the information submitted in the online questionnaire are key resources evaluated by the Awards Workgroup when making their decision. The Awards Workgroup reserves the right to contact anyone submitting a nomination for additional information.
