Vehicular accidents are a leading cause of workplace injuries and fatalities, as well as a significant cost of fleet and lost productivity. They increase liability, reduce employee morale and can create negative publicity. AALA is pleased to recognize fleet and risk managers that have demonstrated excellence in fleet safety. We are seeking candidates who have shown leadership, innovation, and measurable results in enhancing the safety of their employees, those traveling with them, as well as everyone else who shares the road with them.

The following questions are designed to help us get a thorough understanding of the nature, breadth and scope of your organization’s driver safety programs. We understand that there are many different ways in which safety programs can be designed and executed, and so we encourage you to take advantage of the open entry spaces to provide information on any other program components or metrics we have overlooked in the following questions. Please note that answers may be brief; while we encourage comprehensive responses we do not intend that this submission process take a long time to complete.

A panel of industry leaders will evaluate the responses and the award will be announced at the Fleet Safety Conference on June 26th in Schaumburg, Ill.

Thank you for your commitment to safe driving and for taking the time to show your support through participation in this recognition program. Please note this form is due on Friday, March 29, 2013.
