The annual Fall Administrators’ Workshop will be held in Bismarck July 31 – August 2, 2013. On July 31, “Day of Data” the workshop will be held at the Career Academy on the BSC Campus. August 1 and 2, the workshop will be held at the State Capitol, Brynhild Haugland Room. This workshop is open to all administrators and is designed to be a refresher course in all aspects of educational operations.

July 31, the “Day of Data," will host a three-hour hands-on STARS training. Participants will need to bring their own laptop and MIS materials to work on if they choose. The afternoon session topics include PowerSchool, SLDS, ERATE and social media in schools.

August 1 and 2 workshop sessions include updates on the 63rd Legislative Session. School finance personnel will outline the new state foundation aid formula. Sessions on the Common Core implementation, Statewide Accreditation, and Teacher/Principal Evaluations will be presented by educational leaders in our region.

This three-day workshop is sponsored by the Department of Public Instruction and the North Dakota Council of Educational Leaders. A certificate of attendance will be given at the conclusion of the workshop, August 2, and may be used for one hour of Professional Development. Attendees may also elect to earn one unit of graduate credit from UND.

A continental breakfast will be provided all three days. Lunch will be provided August 1 and 2. Each workshop participant will be responsible for arranging his/her own lodging accommodations.

Registration Fees:
July 31 only, “Day of Data”, is $30 per person
August 1 & 2, or all three days, is $100 per person

We ask that you approve these expenditures at a board meeting prior to the conference so a district or personal check can be submitted to the Department prior to the workshop.

The workshop registration is closed. We are at full capacity for our facility and are unable to accept any more registrations. There will be a limited number of administrators manuals available upon request.
