Program Participant Information

Thank you for your interest in the 2017-2018 Teacher Leadership Program. Please review the information below before starting your online application.  This application is currently open to teachers in Edmonds, Everett, Lake Washington, Marysville, and Monroe school districts. These districts will be joining teachers from Northshore and Mukilteo who will be in their 2nd year.

Program Participation:
Accepted Teacher Leader Applicants are expected to fully participate in the program sessions. See session information below.

  • Summer Leadership Session is August 14th - August 17th, 9 am to 4 pm each day. Professional Development will most likely take place in Shoreline, WA. The purpose of these session days is to create a foundation of skills needed to be a leader in your school.
  • September through May, there will be a 2-hour Community of Practice meeting with your district cohort each month. Your district cohort will decide the date, time and place for each of these meetings. An agenda and clock hours will be provided each time.
  • There will be two days that require a substitute during the school year, one in the fall and one the spring. The tentative dates for these meetings are November 7th and March 14th. School districts will cover any sub costs.

Accepted Teacher Leader Applicants are also required to have prior approval from their building principal. Principals are expected to fill out the online recommendation form. They will also be invited to attend some sections of the summer sessions with you, usually about a 2-hour chunk. Any building principal or vice-principal can fulfill this expectation.
