PECMHA 2015/2016 Member Survey

Dear Parents/Guardians of PECMHA Hockey Players -

The Association Executive is seeking your help. It was decided to set-aside the annual coaching survey given the issues and reluctance of people to provide their honest feedback for fear of consequences. The material has always been anonymous, but we quite understand the objections. Instead the focus will be on some of the activities and how we can make PECMHA the most it can be.

There are some general questions about coaching staff, but they are not to the same extent they have been in the past. We are providing a box that you can share more detailed information if you wish and you can be assured it will be presented without the author's name. The process is about improvement and accountability. Not sharing is not making our Volunteers better; and blind criticism is not productive either.

Thank you in advance for completing the survey. The PECMHA Executive is going to draw 2 completed surveys and the family will receive a FREE registration to the pre-season skates held in late August.

* 3. MONDAY or WEDNESDAY Night Hockey Skills
PECMHA has added an optional Skills Session for a number of years. The cost in 2015-2016 was $140 for about 20 sessions that were 40 minutes in length. The Executive is looking for ways that members might see it improving or change all together. A Coaching Staff member was asked to participate starting in 2014 in the hope that this could be an extension of the practice to allow the dedicated 50 minute session later in the week to have a different or complimentary focus. Please provide your preference(s).

Everybody knows, or at least it is typically true, that with more ice and good coaching/direction and correction of bad habits that more skills are developed. To add (if ice was available) an additional 50 minute practice per week would cost around $12 per player.
