The Robert Noyce Scholarship Program, named for a pioneer of semiconductor development and founder of the semiconductor industry, seeks to encourage talented mathematics and science students to pursue teaching careers in high need schools.
Funding carries with it a service obligation. In exchange for the scholarship, the recipient agrees, upon completion of all requirements for certification through the FIUteach program, to teach in a high need local educational agency for two years for each year of scholarship assistance.
