Over the years, many of you have shared your hopes for the future of Hilltop and the 1105 MLK site—what kinds of homes, businesses, and gathering spaces should exist here, and what Hilltop truly needs. Your vision laid a strong foundation.

We’re now re-engaging—honoring all that’s come before, and looking ahead to the next phase of planning and action.

In January 2025 Homestead Community Land Trust acquired the 1105 property from the previous developer, and is working in partnership with Aya Community Land Trust, a Hilltop-serving nonprofit organization, to update community priorities for the property. We know trust takes time, and we’re committed to a process that’s transparent, community-led, and grounded in care.
