The Role

A core function of this role is to manage the team of Software Developer Engineers in Test to more efficiently and effectively design, automate, and execute test plans and scripts that provide testing coverage of new and modified functionality along with regression testing within the software development lifecycle. Driving the adoption of the automated test processes throughout the software development team will be a key responsibility of this role.

The ideal candidate shall have a proven background in software development, Agile/Scrum, test-driven development, continuous integration, and software automated testing.



  • Effectively manage and grow a team of SDETs with the ability to foster collaboration and openness
  • Manage a complex mix of projects and working closely with other parts of the business to communicate and deliver against various goals
  • Work with developers and architects to drive testability in products.
  • Drive the team to create, maintain, and execute a suite of regression test against our web applications
  • Estimate test efforts through developing automation scripts for feature testing and code coverage
  • Analyze and communicate automation results
  • Enhance and extend the automation library and framework
  • Add to our company’s performance and scalability testing efforts
  • Write specialized testing tools for use in testing our software platform
  • The role will also involve working with other developers and DevOps engineers to define and automate tests to further our Continuous Integration/Deployment goals.


Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years leading software testing teams
  • Deep hands-on techincal expertise
  • Experience managing remote teams
  • Comprehensive experience with Python
  • Familiarity with SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with Test Automation Frameworks such as Selenium, Jasmine, Karma and others
  • Experience defining test plans, specifications, suites, cases as well as program tools for unit, functional, and performance testing
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Prior experience planning tests from features and user stories and ability to design effective tests while working in a fast-paced Agile environment
