Thank You for an Amazing 2012!

Thank You for an Amazing 2012!

This year has flown by!

All of us here at SurveyMonkey can’t believe how fast 2012 seems to have come to an end. This year saw the arrival of many exciting new product updates like our Analyze Beta. Now it’s even easier to analyze your data, you’ve more charts to choose from and getting the information you need comes with less clicking around.

After listening to some great feedback, we revamped our Logged-in Home page and it’s now a place where we can share our tips and tricks, where you can view a summary of your most active surveys and easily catch updates on new features. With Create Update, we’re working on redesigning the entire survey creation experience so keep a lookout here on the blog for more to come on the new look and feel. Our teams also continued to work hard at making Question Bank an even more powerful tool with added features designed to streamline and simplify your survey design.

We also continued to show our passion for education with the introduction of our Pre-K-12 Parent Survey in collaboration with the Harvard Graduate School of Education. We hope this survey template helps schools everywhere accurately measure parents’ involvement and continue to improve student outcomes.

2012 also marked a huge year for the entire country as a new President was voted into office. Millions of Americans made their voices heard this election including in our first ever online Presidential Poll. To all of our respondents who participated in the poll, thank you!

Now don’t worry– even with all that we worked on, there was still room for some fun. From showing off our Halloween style or the latest in pajama fashions at the office, volunteering together in support of amazing organizations or heading out to see The Hobbit, we monkeys always manage to find opportunities to hang out together.

Other highlights included rounding up the monkey troops for our second Hackathon. Our teams got together to work on creating a new feature or product of their choosing. You can check ’em all out here and keep an eye out to see if your favorite hack project ends up on the SurveyMonkey site in 2013.

This year, I was pretty honored to have been able to visit some of our international customers. I spoke at two entrepreneur events in Brazil as well as two business schools and had an amazing time meeting many of the fantastic entrepreneurs and startup folks out there. We anticipate lots of great things to come from that region. The same can be said of our friends in Russia! I was invited to speak at Digital October in Moscow and share some of the things I’ve learned while here at the Monkey. I met many interesting customers and learned a lot from them too. Be sure to keep an eye out here on the blog in the next year to learn more about how our Russian customers are using SurveyMonkey.

Last but certainly not least, it’s very exciting for us to share with you that SurveyMonkey Contribute has raised more than $400,000 in 2012, and counting! Congratulations goes out to all of the Contribute members for helping support great charities like The Humane Society of the US and Teach for America.

Before saying cheers to 2012 though, we want to take a moment to thank you for trusting us in helping you make better decisions this year. We’re looking forward to sharing more updates, insights, customer spotlights and of course, plenty of happy monkeys with you all.

Wishing everyone an amazing, fulfilling and healthy 2013! We can’t wait to see you next year- it’s gonna be great!
