Americans’ top Christmas movies: new Axios/SurveyMonkey poll

Here are Americans' favorite Christmas and holiday movies, according to a new Axios/SurveyMonkey poll:

  1. It's a Wonderful Life (14%)
  2. A Christmas Story (12%)
  3. Home Alone (11%)
  4. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (11%)
  5. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (10%)
  6. Elf (9%)
  7. Miracle on 34th Street (7%)
  8. A Charlie Brown Christmas (7%)
  9. Die Hard (5%)
  10. Love Actually (3%)

Results vary significantly by age. Millennials age 18-34 are more likely than older adults to single out Home Alone (19%), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (17%), or Elf (14%) as their favorite. Just 3% of these younger Americans pick Miracle on 34th Street, compared with 15% of those 65 and older.
