The Role:

We are looking for a fun, experienced and collaborative International Accounting Manager for a 12 month period, to cover maternity leave.  This role will report to the Senior Director of Accounting and Finance in Dublin, and will support our expanding international accounting and tax functions. 

The role is wide ranging.  It will encompass managing the month end close process for our international entities, along with managing indirect and direct tax filings globally.  

We do not expect anyone to have all the answers, but you should have the ability to figure out how to find them efficiently, whether independently or collaboratively, as the situation requires.

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for managing the month end close process, including review of journal entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations. 
  • Ensure compliance with our SOX controls and assist internal and external auditors with SOX audits.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers for our international entities. 
  • Assist with the review and filing of VAT/GST/sales tax returns.
  • Assist in the continuous review of internal processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Review of corporation tax returns for our international entities, prepared by our third party service providers.
  • Assist with special finance and operational projects as requested by US finance team or local Dublin office.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CPA/CIMA/ACA).  
  • Chartered Tax Advisor (AITI) qualification a plus. 
  • 8-10 years progressive post-qualified accounting experience to include: 
    • experience managing and leading the month end close process in a public company;
    • experience reviewing corporation tax and indirect tax returns;
    • IFRS and/or USGAAP experience – experience with ASC 842/IFRS 16 and ASC 606/IFRS 15 a bonus; and
    • experience working with internal and external auditors.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • High energy level, with a demonstrable hands-on approach. 
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and through written mediums in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with various different teams within the organisation.
  • Exposure to NetSuite ERP system a plus.
