Winter. It’s coming.
Although it may not be totally clear if Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump would count themselves as fans of HBO’s medieval slash political slash fantasy epic hit—Game of Thrones—it is clear that the majority of the world definitely does.
But, one thing that might be of interest to this election year‘s roster of U.S. Presidential candidates? According to a recent poll, Americans say they’d rather have a fictional character from a long-running best-selling fantasy book series run our country than either of them. That’s right—#VoteTyrion. Ouch.

As of blog press-time, Bernie Sanders hasn’t tossed in the towel just yet. And if he’s as fervent of a fan as over 8 million people are every Sunday night, perhaps our data could convince him to stick it out for just a little longer.
And here in the real world, as Trump and Clinton continue down the road in search of their own Iron Throne, seems as if they each have a bit of work to do when it comes to gaining the trust of pop culture fans.
