Thank You All for a Big 2014

Thank You All for a Big 2014

Happy Monkeys

Big News. Big Moves. Big Year.

We had a really exciting conclusion to 2014 with the announcement of our latest round of fundraising. It reinforced how fortunate we all feel to work at such an extraordinary company and all of us here at SurveyMonkey feel as if the past 365 days have flown by. The team kept busy working on many exciting new product and company developments this year.

It’s more than fair to say that this year has been focused a lot on growth. From growing out of our previous office space and into a brand new monkey habitat here in Palo Alto to opening offices in London and Australia—expansion has been a big focus and there are many monkeys to thank for all of the hard work.

The troop also welcomed an Ottawa office with the newest addition to our monkey family—FluidSurveys and FluidReview—two great tools that allow us to serve an even broader customer base.

Welcome, Fluidware

Other exciting news? We partnered with NBC News and will be working together to deliver in-depth assessments of public opinion and explore best practices in online survey research. In our first collaboration, we learned that 58% of Americans supported banning all flights to the United States from countries hardest hit by the Ebola virus. We also worked on a project to predict the midterm elections. By tapping into the 2+ million people who take SurveyMonkey surveys every day, the data we collected allowed us to accurately predict all 36 U.S. Senate races. We hope our work together helps to build new best practices in online survey methodology and polling research.

On the Product front, our team of monkeys brought you our very first SurveyMonkey app for iPhone and iPad®. The app lets you easily design a survey right from your mobile device, analyze your results in real-time and share via email, social media or website. You also have access to our expert-certified questions and 160+ survey templates letting you create powerful, robust surveys no matter where you are.

We also made updates to our platform that make listening to your customers’ feedback even easier and more powerful. Besides sending surveys, knowing your Net Promoter Score® is one of the most effective ways to collect this feedback. So we developed a Net Promoter question type and survey template, which calculate your score and analyze your results all in one place. Other exciting product news from this year—the launch of multiple integrations with Google Drive. If you use products like Google Contacts and Google Sheets, you now have access to SurveyMonkey’s powerful features as well.

Last, but not least, we announced SurveyMonkey for Salesforce. Joining forces with the world’s leading CRM tool now makes it even simpler for you to collect the valuable customer feedback you need to help you and your business make better decisions. To spread the word on this dynamic new integration, we attended our first Dreamforce conference in beautiful downtown San Francisco. It was great to meet so many current (and future!) customers who are as passionate about data as we are.

Dreamforce 2014

These were just a few of the highlights from this pretty amazing year here at SurveyMonkey. And even though we’re working hard to build our platform and to make our products like SurveyMonkey Enterprise and SurveyMonkey Audience even better, we still know how to kick back and have some fun.

Dave GoldbergWe’re looking forward to 2015. We thank you for trusting us in helping you make better decisions and we hope you have a wonderful holiday with friends and family!

See you next year, everyone. Happy Surveying.
