Wales, a country where the sheep outnumber humans by a factor of three. That’s 9 million sheep to 3 million people in a country the size of New Jersey. Baa-da bing! All hooves aside, Wales Online recently published its list of the 50 greatest Welsh men and women. Bummer, Catherine Zeta-Jones didn’t make it, but Tom Jones (no relation) and Anthony Hopkins did, along with historians, artists, politicians, and athletes.
- #1 greatest Welsh person of all time? Aneurin Bevan, a politician who fought for the rights of the working class. (Tweet this.)
- Move over Catherine Zeta-Jones. Anthony Hopkins and Tom Jones were the only celebrities to make it on the list. (Tweet this.)
- Children’s author Roald Dahl was Welsh, making the list at number 20. Just peachy! (Tweet this.)
