What’s one of America’s favorite pastimes? Eating! We especially love eating out and tipping the waitstaff is part of the restaurant dining experience. That being said, sometimes tipping can feel a little overwhelming. How much should you tip and how often? Is tipping a requirement or does it depend on the quality of service? And what about take-out?
Using SurveyMonkey Audience, a great online tool for gaining insight from a target demographic, we decided to find out the answers to these questions and more by asking 500 Americans about their tipping habits. Our friends over at Visually–a one-stop shop for the creation of data visualizations–whipped up a snazzy infographic to display our survey’s results.
So how does America feel about leaving a little extra?
